Students from every high school in Dade County auditioned and only 19 were chosen, four from Beach!
They defeated Ronald Reagan by the score of 3-2. The last time the team won the district title coach Monsalve was a player on the team. The girls will now host the runner up in the Broward District next Wednesday at 3:00 pm.
1st Place: Brice Joseph- Alexander received 100$ shake shack gift card
Kassandra finished in 40th place out of 181 runners at The State Final competition.
The Miami Beach Drama Department competed against 27 high schools. Seven schools received a rating of Superior including Miami Beach’s production of “Strider, A Play with Music”. The judges selected the five schools to represent Miami Dade County at the state theatre finals in Tampa, Florida in March. “Strider” was selected to compete at the State Finals.
Cheyenne Rodriguez got 5th place in the 200 IM in the State competition. Alexander Reid came in 11th in the 100 Breast. Veronica Greulach came in 20th in the 200 IM and 100 Butterfly while nursing a hurt leg.
Miami-Dade public school principal, Dr. Rosann P. Sidener of Miami Beach Senior High will be recognized at the 10th Annual Leonard Miller Principal Leadership Award luncheon on Wednesday, Nov. 14.
* The team of Morgan Rynor and Belen Mella broke to Varsity Public Forum Double Octofinals. * The team of Charles Starr and Jonathan Wolloch broke to Varsity Public Forum Double Octofinals. * Alec Goldberg broke to Dramatic Interpretation Semifinals. * Jonathan Wolloch won 1st place in Spontaneous Argument.
