    FOREIGN LANGUAGE DEPARTMENT RULES AND EXPECTATIONS

    • The purpose of this class is to learn to communicate in the French language.
    • In order to listen, speak, read and write the language, learners must invest the time and effort necessary to achieve.  
    • Students who are continuously and actively engaged in study all year, in and out of class, will significantly perform better than those who choose not to perform.
    • Success breeds success!

     

    Rules:

    1.    Be respectful at all times to teacher and to others.  (Golden Rule)

     

    1. Keep classroom clean (no eating or drinking during class).

     

    1. Comply with school dress code and conduct codes daily.

     

    1. Be on time and be prepared each day (study before coming to class).

     

     Expectations

    • Students are required to wear the school uniform every day. A solid/plain red or white shirt with sleeves. NO stripes, designs or logos, no bare backs or stomachs.
    • NO holes in pants.
    • ****.Cell phone use in class is Parents need to contact their children by calling the main office. Please do not call student’s cell phone during class time.
    • The use of cell phones and technology for class purposes are at the discretion of the teacher. Technology is intended to be used as an academic tool only when directed by teacher.
    • ***Sleeping or putting head down on desk is not
    • Attendance and class participation are required for successful completion of course requirements. Students have 48 hours to make up work following an excused absence. Missing work due to disciplinary actions such as CSI, Suspension and other disciplinary actions, students will have strictly three (3) days from returning to class to make up any and all missing work.
    • This course adheres to the Miami-Dade County Public Schools Grading Scale.
    • Late homework and late class projects will not be accepted and will not be graded.
    • Assignments are due strictly on the date and time specified by the teacher. NO excuses accepted!!!

     

     

     

     

     

    • Extra credit assignments are at the discretion of the teacher. The teacher takes notes of students who slack off and do not consistently perform during the grading period. Such students will not be allowed extra credit assignments.
    • All assignments count toward final average.
    • Students who slack off during the year will not be allowed to turn in late work in order to improve grade
    • Students are expected to maintain their own notebooks and class folders.
    • Disrespectful behavior such as the use of vulgar/profane language, confrontation, arguing with teacher or other students will not be tolerated and will be referred to the administration for disciplinary actions.
